SDNPA Cocking Local Plan Update.
Last year, the Cocking Parish Council campaigned against the proposed development of site CH199 (land east of the A286 and north of Mill Lane).
Although many objections were submitted by village residents, the site was kept in the Local Plan. However, at an SDNPA planning meeting on 12 February, Tim Carter and Robin Wills spoke against the site’s inclusion and a large majority of the planning committee voted to remove it. As a result Site CH199 will no longer be included in the version of the Local Plan moving forward to
the Regulation 19 Consultation stage
